About
The tri-state specialist in historic wood restoration. Founded 2010. Wood-only, never replacement.
Our philosophy
WoodRestora is the tri-state specialist in historic wood restoration. Based in the New York metro area, we serve landmark homes, period properties, and historic commercial buildings across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Founded in 2010, we work exclusively on wood restoration — not replacement. Our methodology is systematic, our compliance is rigorous, and our craftsmanship follows traditional techniques refined for modern reliability.
We do four things, well: doors, windows, floors, and stairs. Where the wood of your home tells the story of its time, we preserve that story — and the structural integrity behind it.
Methodology
Refined since 2010, now in its third major version. Built for one reason: to make pricing transparent and outcomes predictable.
Surface treatment
For wood in sound structural condition that needs cosmetic restoration. Stripping, sanding, and finish renewal. Original character preserved without structural intervention.
Structural + cosmetic
For wood with damage, deterioration, or hardware issues. Epoxy consolidation, joinery repair, and finish renewal. The standard tier for most landmark restoration projects.
Heritage-grade conservation
For irreplaceable elements requiring conservation-level care. Documented process, reversible treatments where appropriate. Used for landmark-designated work.
Transparent pricing
Every WoodRestora estimate is built from line items. You see exactly what you are paying for, in four categories:
